 Thank you very much for the photos. Am returning some of which I have duplicates that you sent me from New York. Much pleased with description of your berth and its accoutrements. (is that the way to spell it?)  It must have been quite an exciting trip. Too bad so many of the passengers were sick. Am glad you were not.
 Cole paid the Nov. rent a few days ago. We received a bill from Randall for $4.50 for fixing the roof so paid him out of the rent. I think Max has forwarded the latter to you.
 Had a quiet day Thanksgiving. Had chicken (stewed_, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, baking powder biscuit, figs, nuts, candy, celery, and pumpkin pie. I made the pie after your recipe and it was a great success. Made another one yesterday so as to use
