recollecting most of it from the instructions you gave me when we used to play together.

 Do you remember how we used to get out the Encyclopedia Brittanica and fret and stew over cribbage meanwhile pegging "one for his head and two for his heels"?  I have just learned that if you pass the county examination for school teacher and substitute for six months you can receive a certificate to teach. I have a desire to try, anyway. I should love to teach school in Glen Ellyn and since a normal school training isn't absolutely necessary it may be that I can be a school marm after all.  I haven't written Mr. Bowen yet but intend to do so immediately. I was going to have him in for Thanksgiving but it became necessary to invite papa instead so I shall have him in some Sunday.
 Must stop now and mail this before Mrs. Wilson comes down. I agreed to "mind" Muriel this afternoon while her mother is away.   Much love to both,   Katharine.
