The pansies all died as grandma predicted. Am quite disappointed as I was very anxious to have some blooming house plants this winter. I suppose I had not better start others until we get out to Glen Ellyn as we might have trouble moving them. At the last I will Club meeting I met Mrs. Whittemore, the Glen Ellyn member. She is pleasant and agreeable but rather backward in her ideas regarding problems of the day such as unemployment, charity, etc. she enthused about the Christmas ship but thought the unemployed should be driven out of Chicago and forbidden to reenter. "Such policies I no understand". She belongs to the G.E. Woman's study club. She says they have 60 members. I told her that you were one of the charter members and she was much interested.
Papa was here to dinner on Thanksgiving Day and after dining, we played Euchre, the game they are to play tonight. I picked it up in no time
