Pretty good for a cat only 9 months old, isn't it? He is so tall that he can easily put his forepaws on one of the dining-room window sills, when standing on his hind legs.
Max and I went over to Norine Crawford's last Sunday and visited with her. The park looks much the same except that they have a fountain, or rather, just a
large spray of water shooting up in the middle of the small pond just north of the lagoon. Norine said that it was to be made into a swimming pool for children next summer. On our way over to the L someone came up behind and walked in between us and turning we beheld - Ritterscomp! He is looking well and has been working all summer on a sort of dredging job. Guess he has cut out drinking for he looks quite civilized. He chatted with us a few minutes and then went off toward Cottagegrove.
Doc announced last night that he had purchased tickets for "While the city sleeps" at the Auditorium for Friday night. It is a play being given for the policemen's
benefit ass'n. Write soon and tell me all about Noo Yawk. Lots of love, Katharine.
