while her dear body was yet unburied - but had not found your address and I am so weakened could not seek it as of old - Mrs Allen, Miss Bingham, Mr Dixon & Mrs Crump wer with her all of her consious moments - She was stricken just as she and Mrs Allen were going to dine at the Rosalie Inn - they all say she met it bravely and, sent just one message to me - "to go on and live my life" & she was so beautiful they all say - But May there is not enough left in life for me to want to go on. I try to be brave but all Philosophy breaks down in a time like this, only a powerful love could have stood the storms & stress we had but we did love so deeply. The last three months I had lived in her little apartment with her and we did have such a sweet time - we used to speak so often of you and May our life seemed even richer & fuller than ever - I know none will miss her more than you & I trust some day I can see you & tell you more about her, my feelings compel me to say good bye for the present -

  Your ever fond Comrade
    HRH Crump
