Dear May - Sad news as to the Chinese chestnut tree - see other side. You'll have to content your self w/ the nuts we'll send you from our trees in 4 or 5 years. We have just (last Friday) had the field cleared of stumps & bushes &c w/a bulldozer & we are now digging 56 holes for no less than 56 trees! How about our sending you the dear little cedar tree I spoke of? It is like a little Christmas tree - about 3 or 4 feet tall. We had one at our rest home in East Palatka. It did well there & gave splendid shade. (It is an evergreen so it will not shed its leaves in the fall) We must take it up anyhow,
