 We have had to keep you waiting several days for a reply but simply could not get both time & strength together to write. My  days have been over-full partly with helping the Kellys to get settled and find a small store to try their luck once more (clothing, shoes, hats &c esp. for working people) and partly because of Bertie not being in good health

& obliged to spend considerable time in bed - for the first time in fifty years! She was worn out and consequently afflicted w/sundry strange aches
