Dear Jack, These clippings are probably the last I have. They're the result of still another attempt to go through a more-than-two-year accumulation in our basement. This time we're in earnest - we must get rid of papers, magazines, books, - to say nothing of all kinds of other things that got relegated to the nether region. We never throw out - we just take downstairs.

I say "for real" because we want to put the house up for sale, and right now it wouldn't be "good business" to show prospects a cluttered basement. Other things need to be done too, but sometime this summer I think we will be ready to be put on the block.
We'll be heading West - earthquake country. Our one and only - did I write earlier that our Helen decided to junk her first name in favor of Susan, her second given name? - keeps calling us - and now she and Gary have two children: Michele is 4½ years old and Steven is 4 months old. So we'll look for an apartment in their general area - Los Angeles, in the San Fernando Valley. The kids live in Woodlnad Hills, and we'll try for a neighboring suburb. (I dread the thought of renting, but see no good alternative.)
