Elizabeth and I often think of you & Gladys...I hope that all is improving. I wish I could drop by for a long talk about things literary. I hope genuine spring is on your doorstep. Here the days are often 70[degree symbol]-75[degree symbol]--comfortable.

I am concerned about our world-future. Another war can wipe us out, fight war with my anti-war novel, the book you read years ago. I call it "Raise Your Right Hand." (You may recall that the protagonist, Orville Dennison, loses his right hand in the tank corps.) I am trying to gt John Hersey to read the ms.
