Dear Jack, I want to get these papers back to you safe & sound, and will write you in a few days. Thanks for sending them. I really enjoyed catching up a bit on your work and life - well, they aren't separate, but you understand what I mean. "Home to Mothers" all for more! I'm glad for the tributes - you deserve them all and more. Perhaps the help you're given so many writers is an integral part of your work; it was, is, creative help. Of course, a writer who works hard, as you have, should have more recognition for his writing, but who knows how such things are determined? [I suspect you may know.] In any case, I know from experience how you feel. To me, of course you've been a famous writer for many years and by the reissue of "The
