My dear Jack:

   Thanks for your kind letter and the blurb you sent me.  Here is a proposition - collect say twenty poems (not to [sic] long) from those published in the Anvil and write and [sic] introduction for them.  Each poet shall receive one copy and you get twenty copies for yourself.  We are taking a risk but hope to pull through.
   Under separate cover I am mailing you a copy of Firebrands for review in the Anvil
