Dear Jack: a copy of my book should have been in your hands several weeks ago, but that doesn't excuse my dilatoriness in writing to you about my progress. I've written again to Harcourt - Brace about the delay in sending your copy but I suspect the letter and the book will arrive together. I kept the magazines (which I didn't use very much given the point of view and content of the book - I mean I write of the authors rather their works) because I'm going to do an anthology of the 30's for Amber Press (I plan to include a section from The Disinherited) - but I'll send it immediately.

 About the book - I can't say. Sometimes I think it's lousy - sometimes it seems all right. I'll be eager to
