2/ he was elated and asked for everything I have. An air mail came same time as Nate's which said - Dear Mrs. Walden: Mr. Berlyn has just called me to say you have a collection of letters to your husband, the late Charles Kerr and to yourself, which you would like to have placed in some library where they could be used. I should be very happy to have these here in the city from which Mr. Kerr made so great an impression by his publishing business upon the country and indeed upon the world. I have long been hoping that these letters would come to light, together with all the information about the company that still may be available. If you will have everything that you wish to put into our keeping boxed and sent collect, I and many other students will be very much in your debt.
Sincerely yours Stanley Pargellis - [note: He was from Newberry Library]
