Darling Tafern: So happy to have your card this morning. I'm thinking of you in Indiana now, almost home - I hope you find Muldoon all well and active - I have just buried Laddie - I was napping after cleaning the bathroom when two small Renfro boys came and asked if I owned a big white cat. Then they said "He's dead" - I went with them - He was lying near the bench the Renfro's have near their lemon bush. Evidently he had been dead several hours for Mr. Renfro said he wasn't home last night else he would have seen him. I found where the old cat had her kittens just after you left. I followed her - Back of "s" scratched out Singleterry's garage under some loose boards. The two white kittens disappeared as I came closer, and this morning the mother cat ran under their house when I told the boys where I had seen them -
