1: p.m. When that big fruit cake came __ I hope I've thanked you for it - I called Mrs Catlin and asked if I couldn't donate something - she refused then I told her a bout the fruit cake you had sent, and asked again. again she refused.

 Well I'm not saving it. I've had a chunk of it every day for dinner. Found an apple that just fitted the hole, so I hope it will keep the cake moist.  Just finished a piece with

lime jello dessert with pineapple and peaches, and a glass of orange juice. Now for my nap.
