So much to tell, - if you were only here! The Welfare lady from this district came day before yesterday - or was it yesterday? Yes, it was, and she staid until noon. Her object was, to find out for the Welfare head in Eureka just how much it takes for Frank and me to live on, so he can cut Frank's check the next months. I co operated the best I could, so I expect it will be cut $20.00 at least - F.'s rent at Mrs. Kran's. Frank took little part in the interview, but I tried to get across to him the important parts of it. He told Mrs. Williamson that whatever she and I arranged wd be all right with him: that he tries to make the best of things. The bad checks are beginning to come in. I gave him the electric bill to pay as he runs the heater in his room when he feels too cool, leaves the lights on in his room, etc etc. He made out a check for the Power Co. and it bounced. So I paid it today without telling him anything about it - There is to be one
