Mrs. May Walden 420 West Bell Street, Box 853 Avon Park, Fla.

we went to Touchton's drugstore and treated each other to orange an vanilla ice cream. It has been so long since we have been able to buy ice cream that we were hungry for it so had two dishes apiece. She has had an awful time with the young woman from Denver and her 14 mos. old baby girl. The husband, a 2nd lt. wasn't so objectionable. The girl, Helen, would let the baby pee anywhere and she would mop it up then not rinse the mop or wash up the floor. She let the child grab anything with its greasy hands and get into anything, tear up the new telephone book, etc. She invited in a couple she was intimate with and they cooked a big chicken dinner, then at nine o'clock went in swimming and left the whole mess. Mrs. J cleaned up everything, washed all the dishes and cooking utensils, and Helen never said boo against it.
