May, 1940 Mothers Day- Avon Park Darling Tafern, The dear little Kindergartenish card came two days ago and it brought up many memories. Thanks for it very much. Today is very beautiful, a little cool for us - 63º - after the very much needed showers we had yesterday. I've had my breakfast, whole wheat bread, soft egg, strawberries and cambric tea, washed my few dishes, swept the back porch and brushed the cat. Only I brushed her first, then swept out the cat hairs. She slept there all night, contrary to our usual custom. It was so dark when I put her out that I couldn't see whether or not she went out. She is to be confined in about three weeks, and her appetite is
