3 Yes, I hope they will keep you so busy you won't be let off for a vacation without pay.
Our robins have left I think, as I've not seen any for several days. They seemed to enjoy picking the pulp out of the g.f. and oranges on the ground - and the way they ate the mulberries! and stained things up with their droppings! It is a pity you can't take part in the socialist meetings but I think it would be unwise for you to do it. It is a great relief to have somebody doing something, as Roosevelt is. But I'm afraid he is only going to try patching up the old system, instead of building a new one. I notice in one of the papers I've read the past few days that somebody else has my idea of making the present banks all depositories of U.S. funds, and turning them into postal savings banks. There is going to be a big movement to have that done, and people won't be satisfied until it is done for everybody has lost confidence in the old banking system. It has begun to rain, and I'm glad that I'm going to celebrate by going to bed.
Stacks of love, Mother.
