I notice by the Leader (probably the Milwaukee Leader, a socialist publication. KKM) that the Int. Soc. Rev. for July has been suppressed. I have been wondering why I didn't get my July copy. (Did I tell you I sent in a sub-card and had it sent to the Village Inn?) Can't you get a copy from Papa, then send it on to me? Now that I have the time I read all of my Soc. periodicals from beginning to end. Had a nice letter from Marie Roever (my ship-mate) yesterday. She is now in New London, Conn. waitress in the Hotel Griswold. Says there is much hatred toward the Germans from the other "help" and one girl remarked that she thought it very unfair that they still employ those Germans, and that she knows a girl who was chased out of 7 positions in N.Y. city for being German and that she
