5 Sat. off and we were going out to Sandy River for smelts. They say it is quite a sight even if you don't try getting them. They charge 50 c for a license and for that you are allowed 25 pounds of fish. According to the paper nearly 1000 licenses were issued last sun. and it was estimated that 20,000 persons visited the fishing grounds during the day. Do not know how long it took to get 25 lbs. on sun. but Mon. they met the requirements in 10 or 15 mins. I think Malcolm & Marvin will enjoy hearing about the fish even if you don't.
