June 30th 1942 - Dearly Beloved Friend: - Am not sure that I answered your good letter, but will write anyway. Have thought often of you - wish I could see you. Found myself wishing Brother's Will and I could be in your rented house next winter near you. But -- Nothing so good could come our way - Just must pull as best we can - glad you like the picture - I have not been so well the past year. Am some better now and am thankful that I can wait on myself and do many things - Cant do much walking and every body is conserving tires so cant get out much. Friends are
