This is a very tardy letter, but you can see by the unclear above that I have had many things to do since I left Philadelphia. The General Assembly is unclear & the usual unclear of edifying & unclear things are being done. Some of them make me quite unhappy--they seem so unclear narrow unclear. I read Edith Wyatt's book on the way to Albany - even to the last word.
