This is a gentle, slipshod old town, full of trees and flowers and friendly people, and my father and I spent so many happy months here that I have a real affection for it.

I'm afraid there's no hope of my being in New York in February, or March either, for I had the flu rather badly and ought to stay south till warm weather. But I shall see you sometimes and somewhere because I want to very much.
