I am not trying to say "thank you". for your book and for your kindness in remembering to send it to me, for I should only bungle the thing, but I do want you to know that I truly appreciate them both. Of course there is a pang in thinking how my father would have delighted in reading it aloud, but I ought instead to thank you for all the joyous evenings you gave him with your other two books.
