82 perusal of relative more particularly of the partition of lands upon the river San Antonio. After the establishment of the Alamo & the town or city of San Fernando, the various missions on the river were formed for the civilization of the indians in the lower country, and many Spaniards, & Creoles of Mexico settled in this frontier town & it is reported that in its flourishing towns the population amounted to as many as 10 to 12.000 souls.

Louisina belongs  then to the Spanish crown, &

there was a road from that place and of Texas by San Antonio & Goliad & terminating at Refugio on the Gulf of Mexico

 After the extinction of the indians, of Texas, many Mexican indians & creoles
made arrangements to work the prolific lands on the San Antonio x  then this

part of the country may be looked upon as at its height of prosperity.
