Cook was good enough to show & explain to me particulars relative to the Capture of San Antonio in 1835, in which he took a very prominent part, & many interesting operations relative to the "War torn" Milam He was from Kentucky & fought against England in 1812. 15. he joined the Mexicans against the royalists. He was imprisoned by Sturbide?, but rescued by the people. In 1828 he had a grant of land in Texas. He was imprisoned by the Mexicans but escaped & joined the Texans in the capture of Goliad. Milam fell at the glorious assault of Bejar 7th December 1835.
