Whilst She was recounting the horrors of the Siege, I was Sketching & Sympathizing with her, when she looked over my shoulder "An Señor, had you but seen the X Alamo on a Feast Day as I have seen it, not like it is now, in ruins, you would have been delighted - & yet I would not have My Old Rancho being for the best hands in Sn Antonio" She flattened the dry drawing as it went on etc. resumed her
