Dear Sir, Mr. Marsh, the bearer of this, has requested an introductory letter to you, and I give it to him with pleasure, for I have found him a gentleman of literary attainments, and of very correct deportment. During more than two years, that he has spent in Detroit, his conduct has gained him the respect and good will of the Community. And as an Editor he has exhibited much talent, discretion and intelligence. I am Dear Sir, Respectfully yours, Lewis Cass Joseph Gales, Jun, Esq.
