To accomplish this, my patron, most willing undertook to accompany me to Boston, where we arrived on the 23 of May. Dr. Kirkland, (now President of Harvard College) was most attentive to me & by whose polite introduction I had the happiness of becoming acquainted with several of the Boston clergy __ during my stay I had fine opportunity of hearing of various preachers of different denominations, even, I attended the Parish
