I must not omit, Madam, mentioning that the first minister in the south parish of this Town was the Rev. E.W. of whom I was named after at my baptism. He was the son of the Rev. John Williams of Deerfield & eldest brother of my great grandmother Eunice. This son, was absent when the sore? calamity fell upon Deerfield in 1704 and by the kind assistance of some benevolent gentlemen, was supported, sent to Harvard college during his father's captivity.
