There are duties that ministers owe to a people, which are zeal & fidelity in all ministerial labors to promote the edification & salvation of their hearers: by prayer, by teach.g, by private infstrucion & writing remember.g their accountableness to their Lord & Master who has appointed them to the works & labor of the evangelical Ministry & duty to give ? wholly to the work. And some of the duties of people are to hear & receive with all readyness the gospel despensed by them & strive to profit thereby, remember.g also the amount which they must give how they have heard & received the gospel ministry, which is one great chief means appointed for the salvation of our souls. The duties of masters to servants are justice & kindness towards them, provid.g for their temporal comfort & their eternal happyness, kind acceptance of their willing of faithful services, not threatening them or correcting for every fault, remember.g that they themselves are the servants of X, & have many faults that need forgivness. Ephr. 6. Ye masters, doing the same things unto them, forbear.g threatning, know.g that your Master is in heaven & there is no respect of persons with him. It is the master's duty to set before his servants & those under him an example of virtue & religion & to enforce by dayly instruction, the knowledge & fear of God & resolve that they shall serve the Lord. ? strain.g & ? also all vice & irreligion among them & allow.g & encourag.g them to worship God, both publicly & privately.
