The exertion I made in performing this Evening Service, was an inping? to my health - the bleeding at the lungs took place once more which greatly weakened me. I now conclude as soon as the weather would permit and my strength sufficiently restored, to commence my southern tour. Accordingly on the 5th of January (1820) I set out for N. york with a heavy heart not knowing what might befall me on the way - But casting all my cares upon that God of whom I adored & ? whose ways are perfect, and whose tender mercies are ever ?ll his works.
