Dear Mary and Cynthia,
      Letitia and I reached home very comfortably last evening. Lewis went to the village to meet us. and when we got here we found that Edward had brought the mail, in which was your good letter. It was indeed " good news from a far country" and I cannot tell you what a cordial? it was to our feelings. Father, Mother and all seemed quite cheerful and happy and I trust not a little thankful and I trust not a little thankful to the Father of us all for his love and care. We shall anxiously look for a letter to tell of your safe arrival at sister Elizabeths.
