How solemn to think that each day that passes so quickly and so pleasantly away brings us nearer and nearer that unknown world whither we are fast hastening. But oh, how sweet it would be if we could say with the poet, and feel while we said it that it was true in our case, those beautiful words,- "Here in a body pent, Absent from Heaven I roam, Yet nightly pitch my moving tent, A day's march nearer home." Sat. Feb. 14- Since writing the first part of this, I have received two letters from Jennie. The first I think came Wed. evening stating Marys safe arrival and the other I received last evening. Thank you, thank you, Jennie dear, a thousand times, for writing to me so faithfuly. I do not know what I should do without your letters, your letters are always received with pleasure by me but at this time in particular, they are looked for with more than usual interest, and thanks to you, dear sister, they are not looked for in vain. I am so busy getting well, that I do not have as much time to write as I want, but I hope you
