Woke up just in time to be too late to see the desert, as the train was just entering the Canon - Fine Engineering. Arrived Los Angeles before 8 am & at San Gabriel at 840 Left our car on sd track to wait for us - & took carriage for Sierra Madre Villa which we reached by 10 am Lovely place - Orange groves, figs, pomegranates English walnuts limes & lemons, everything of Tropical growth.
