you were getting along as well, I hope Mary has got better of her headache. Cousin Mary is pretty well for her, but little Laurie is quite sick with her teeth. She is some better today, but still is rather cross. I hope I shall have a letter from home today or Monday. I will write again in a few days. I have nothing in particular to say, so goodbye.

  I have not enlisted yet but if I do enlist for the union I intend it shall be for a longer term than three years.    Mary says you need not expect me until you see me and Thomas says I must not hurry but take my time and have it all done right which Mary says I must do if it takes me three weeks. They are all very kind and I am having a good pleasant time.
