were handed in, in the course of the evening.

I believe I have not mentioned to you, that Mr. Harris Ryder, was married, on Thanksgiving morning, to Miss Elisabeth Kimball. You doubtless, recollect them both.
I have been very busy since I came home, much of the time is writing for father. He is preparing for the press a work on "Analysis of the English Language." I have been copying. He has also as Chairman of the School Committee of this town been writing a report of the schools to be printed. This I copied, also - request for me to go to Carlyle, in that state, and take charge of a Select School, and, a few days previous to this, while at the Institute, the teacher of the Academy at Westminster, Vt. offered me a situation as assistant there. I tried to find some one to take the place at Carlyle, but could not succeed. No one to whom I mentioned it wished to go so far from home. Miss Webster a widow lady - a friend of my mother, is now erecting a building at her own expense, at Carlyle, to be used as a school room. She was pioneer teacher at the West, previous to her marriage, and, since the death of her husband, has resumed the employment. She wishes now, to resign the school to the care of another, only reserving for herself the supervise of some of the primary classes. She had accomplished much good there.
During the vacation, my brother George was examined for admission to the church. He will unite at the next communion, and probably two or three others with him. O! how much these young disciples need the prayers of God's people. May they "endure to the end," and accomplish very great good in the world. George. in his last letter, told us that a few young men in the Institute, had established a Sabbath evening prayer meeting which they enjoyed very much.
Is your sister fully recovered, and are other friends well?
My parents send much love. Please direct to Dunbarton, as my father will send my letters to me, while I am at Concord.
Have you satisfactory employment in prospect for the coming Season?
My best wishes ever, for your success.
                                                                                     Most truly yours.
                                                                                                      Antoinette.
