Mother Brownville July 30 1858 Brownville july 30th /58 My dear Children I receiv'd a letter from you Isaac & a piece of one from Nettie for which except my hearty thanks - Why does n't Anna write I believe she owes me 2 or 3 letters - I came here 25 of June - have been having a very quiet happy time - not any flies or musketos I have seen one or 2 musquitos but not near as many as at Elyria last summer We have had Charles's Mary here about a fortnight & she is really quite a good little girl - I give her a shirt of sewing every day she does it willingly & very carefully & frequently chooses to do considerable more than I set her - They seem to be getting along nicely here Almeda is rather more fleshy than she has ever been before James is doing his haying - has 3 hir'd men there has been a great deal of rainy
