call'd a baby I was greatly amus'd to hear about his driving the Turkeys &c No doubt but he's his Fathers own Child How I do wish we could go to Dunbarton but the dear little Percie is so feeble that we have have no reason to expect he could bear the journey this fall - Lucy holds out wonderfully - but she looks as if she could not hold her head up or keep her eyes open - Percie is nervous & excitable it takes one of us all the time & sometime both to take care of him Lucy has been so perfectly devoted to him & Sam'l too that I have feard he would be taken away on that very account God requires of his children the whole heart but he is longsuffering & generous you are very good & kind on writing to me when you get such poor returns it is a favor & a great gratification to me to hear from you - any thing which concerns you is interesting for me to know My love & respects to your dear Parents I wish we could have the pleasure of seeing them
