My Dear Son
There nothing in particular to write but as Humphrey & Mariah are going to Northfield I will just say that I am well & happy had the great pleasure of seeing very unexpectedly Mrs. Reed & Mrs. Vese two cousins of mine (old playmates) that I love dearly - had not seen them for a long time I have some things in your trunk you know I thought at first that I should have you send them here but on second thought I believe I had better when I have seen Sister Conant go to Northfield and make my visit there Soon I will let them be till then I shall calculate to go to Mr. Dickenson and Aunt Sister Esther to be there with me - let me know whether you need soon anything done about shirts if you do - & it is convenient for you to get it you can take from your Trunk a bundle of new cotton cloth with some linnen inside of it (it was not done up in anything or fix'd) up at all I believe - But I have other work here and it is of no consequence So put yourself to no inconvenience unless you will be likely to need before I can get your shirts done. How familiar and natural the great hedges & rocks and every thing about here does look write to me often do I want I want to know all about what you are doing and how you get along as much as if I was at Milo. I sent on a letter to the folks yesterday.
