I don't know what you'll say to me when you come. I've taken your book box etc. to put some of my things in to carry off. had it anything else Jos. carried mostly all your books away when he was at home. Will take you sometime to gather you possessions together -Nimshi? grows beautifully, now-adays.

[right-hand side] weekly bundle of Literature, though just now I don't find a great deal of time to read. How the birds do peep, the frogs sing- there, I made a mistake - and the butterflies fly these beauty warm days. I rec'd a present last week of half a dozen silver teaspoons from Joseph. Quite a present, was'nt it? I have always had kind friends - very kind - who have done for me all I need, and I hope & believe that Samuel will be a kind husband. Well good night dear Brother. I hope to see you in the course of a fortnight, certainly. I am going to write Jos. to bring Miss Moore up with him. Probable effect? smudged word says he likes her best of any girl he saw! Affectionately, sister Lucy.

[bottom of page] They say that Everett and Angella have really made up again - he carried her to Bangor and visits there, which he has not done till recently, since she returned from the south. She has been engaged & disengaged a number of times. Says she never feels happy when engaged to him, so breaks off.
