I wanted you to somewhat particularly as well as immaticularly about Botanicing & finishing Herbarium &c. but I have all along I shrewdly suspected you hadn't ought to, if you conclude to think to guess how I shall - J. is getting well hey?  I authorize you to give the reports an emphatic contradiction wherever it may have spread thankth  your agency I believe it to be entirely correct - a very natural mistake on Alfred's part, perhaps, from seeing me "peart" in Botanicing  etc. Prof. Shepard hey? well that'll do.
