Me to her cc. Joseph to Lucy

Write hey? write? Bless you indeed we sent what we thought to be for us, very much a letter which you have not taken the least notice of nor acknowledged it at all. We were so busy making Shirts & mending coats for Alfred that we had no time to write by him. Aint coming hey? I wanted you to somewhat particularly as well as immaticularly about Botanicing & finishing Herbarium &c. but I have all along I shrewdly suspected you hadn't ought to, if you conclude to think to guess how I shall - J. is getting well hey? I authorize you to give the reports an emphatic contradiction wherever it may have spread thankth your agency I believe it to be entirely correct - a very natural mistake on Alfred's part, perhaps, from seeing me "peart" in Botanicing etc. Prof. Shepard hey? well that'll do. You haint learnt to spell Tuesday yet hey? yah! green pearsley hey? so do me & beans too
H.A. Moore is going off west hey? If upon careful enquiring you ascertain that to be the fact & can do it without troubling yourself too much please get and give her for me to carry away with her
If you can find it "Lady of the Lake", Handsomely printed extra binding gilt edge. She is one of my most highly esteem'd friends the number of which is small Jane is waiting to carry this.
I have been fixing lots of things for your historical scrap book and will send them by Eliab.
