Mrch 18. Saturday. -10◦ Visited old agency - Mrs. [?Werner?] with me -- while she was looking at the lace that Elis Colby's Indians make -- I looked up Bonga & made arrangements for notifying the Lead Men -- to meet me next Friday.

    The Indians were in council -- Flatmouth sent me word he would like to have me come to the Council for a minute -- I went -- was met pleasantly -- everybody smiled and I felt that they had talked me over and was satisfied & agreed to accept me. They wished me to look after some friends they had in Washington -- get the money & pay it unclear in Wars.
