  My Operative C.H.E further reports as follows-"
  "At 9 a.am. I called at the H [and] St. J.R.R. office and had a conversation with Mr. E. G. [Lish] asst dupt. and arranged wish him to be at his office at noon for the purpose of obtaining a description and book at one Frank Murphy a striking [engineer] and one who he believed was the guiding spirit among the men. who were intimidating some of the new employ so of the H and On-J.R.R.
  In the meantime I went into some of the Saloons in the immediate vicinity of the Depot and noted that the subject of the strike was the principal there of conversation. from a grasp of R.R. men standing in front of [Chajun] and Gore's Restaurant I gathered from what I overheard that the
