Chicago Aug. 7th 1888 H.B. Stone Esq Gen'l. Mgr. C.B. & L.R.R. City Dear Sir. Following you will please find reports of Opr. ? for Aug 1st, 2nd, & 3rd. Wednesday, Aug 1st 1888 Today in Galesburg at 800am. Opr went to the White Elephant saloon with John Hinkson & Opr. treated the drinks. Bill Devro shortly made his appearance and told Opr. & Hinkson that the switchmen got paid this afternoon between 1 & 2pm. Devro treated and they then went to the Hall where they met Wm Kelly, Geo Milley & Herb Updike. Milley spoke about the dynamite - hearing which comes up tomorrow he said they could do nothing with him as he is not connected in any way with the case and knows nothing about it, & says that he never met Bowles.
