Chicago July 26th 1888. H.B. Stone Esq. General Manager. W.B. & q.R.R unclear Chicago Dear Sir, Following find report of opr. P.L.G. dated Chicago July 21st 1888. Opr. Reports that at 9 a.m. acting under orders from Supt. McGwinn he left the Agency at 9:30 and went to the fair for the purpose of purchasing a mattress 1 single comforter two sheets two pillow cases and 1 pillow for the use of John a Bowles. Opr bought the afore mentioned articles at the fair and ordered them delivered today. They promised to deliver them as ordered thereupon Opr returned to the Agency arriving there at 11 a.m. and reported to Supt. McGwinn. Yours Truly Pinkertons Nat Det Agcy per M A.
