Chicago July 24th 1888 H. B. Stone Esq. Genl. Mgr. C.B. & Q. R.R. City

Dear Sir: Following you will please fine report of Opr. P.L.G. Tuesday July 10th 1888 About 5 P.M. by order of Supt. J.C.McY. Opr. went home to prepare to leave the city, and as 830P.M. he left Chicago for Noblesville Ind. where he arrived about 3.50 A.M. and went to the Wainright House where at 7 A.M. he met Orp. W. and after a consultation Opr. P.F.G. left Noblesville for the purpose of visiting the following torous surrounding Noblesville, namely Westfield, Sheridan, Cicero and Acadia At 8 45 A.M. Opr left with a driver as the Circuit was about 40 miles. They first went to Westfield and visited Syam & Pierce's Hardware store and talking with the clerk he said "Yes about 6 or 8 weeks ago I did sell some dynamite to a stranger and under peculiar circumstances, Now what kind of a looking man was
