Saturday July 14/88 Today in Chicago, the Opr. remained at the Clifton House until 9:30a.m. when he accompanied Roper T. Shirts? (two of the Noblesville witnesses) to the U.S. Building & then left them with Opr. C.W.; he then went to the Agency & while on his way there he met Mr. ?, to whom he reported that Ropers best impression was that the circular which he saw with Bowles at Noblesville was the circular known as the Great American Scab Route Circular. At 10a.m. he returned to the U.S. Bldg & remained in Commissioner Hoyne's Court until it adjourned to convene Monday the 16th inst; he then remained around the Building among the crowd
