Chicago July 27th 1888 H O Stone Esq Genl Manager. ? R.R. Chicago

Dear Sir Following find report of Officer Frank Snyder stationed with 3 men at Aurora Ills from July 16th 1888 up to and including July 25th 1888. Mr Snyder is Sargeant in charge Officer reports that on July 16th he went on duty at 4 o'clock am. at the ? & ? Passenger Depot - That several strikers made their appearance around the Depot during the day which is unusual but they did nothing out of the way. and kept to themselves. Officer remained on duty until 7 pm. when he sent his men to their different posts and visited them and at 8 o'clock returned to Depot on duty and stayed there up to 1am, the men remained on duty and reported everything safe. July 17th 1888. Officer in Charge reports everything safe and his men report all quiet during the night. they went on and off duty at the usual times and at the usual places.
